What I do
Building on my classroom experience and informed by second language acquisition research, my services include curriculum development in foreign language education, instructional design in Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESL), professional development, and classes in Language for Specific Purposes (LSP).

Curriculum & Instruction
I am well-versed in the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages, thanks to my extensive experience both in teaching second languages in the classroom and serving as an ACTFL-CAEP Reviewer for 12 years. All materials, programs, and curricula I develop are Standards-based and centered on proficiency in both communication and interculturality.

Classes
As a teacher of Spanish and English as a second language, I follow a communicative approach. This method values using the second language as a tool for instruction rather than focusing solely on achieving perfect linguistic accuracy. Instead, the emphasis is on the ability to communicate and interpret information effectively.

Consulting
As an ESA-AZ vendor, I cater especially to private and charter schools, microschools, pods, and homeschoolers. I can work with you or your faculty to design a curriculum in Spanish or ESL, a single course, or a faculty development program. Similar services tailored to public education are available to schools and parental groups.

Experience
As a world language educator, I have taught English, Spanish, French, and German as foreign languages both in the United States and Spain. My background as a PreK-adult classroom teacher is complemented by my experience as an instructor in bilingual education, postbaccalaureate certification, and secondary methodology. multiple textbook programs aimed at secondary and college students who are learning Spanish as a second language.
